Facilities In addition, CAFES operates a laboratory farm at two sites, providing vital resources for teaching, extension, and research. The farm is a diverse operation including beef, dairy, horse, sheep and swine enterprises, and cropping enterprises. Planning for a new Dairy Learning Center to be built on the farm is well underway. Classes and laboratory sessions bring students out to the farm. Students also have the opportunity to work on the farm or participate in research projects on the farm. Student Organizations Scholarships Internship Program International Opportunities Alternatively, a number of CAFES faculty participate in and/or host international training programs. Our faculty have recently hosted groups from several Eastern European and Latin American countries. Also, the annual Food Microbiology Symposium attracts a number of international speakers and attendees. There are often opportunities for students to meet and interact with these visitors during their stay on campus. Location University of Wisconsin-River
