AGRICULTURE AND ENVIRONMENT:  WISCONSIN INDUSTRIES TOO BIG TO IGNORE
GRADUATES GET JOBS!

Graduates of the Wisconsin Technical Colleges get jobs!  Most of those jobs are in your area but many opportunities await graduates who seek to live and work in other places.
You will find more information about jobs others have earned through their programs of study in the graduate follow-up reports which are available from each college and of which a compilation is available annually from the Wisc. Tech. College System Board office.

EMPLOYERS WILL WANT YOU!
Employers want people who know how to work and how to do the jobs they have awaiting technical college graduates.  The most recent follow-up report showed that 95% of all students had found employment following graduation.

In agriculture, more than 85% of the graduates from Wisconsin Technical Colleges who seek employment find places to start careers in their fields of preparation, one of the highest records among all of the occupational clusters.

START COLLEGE WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL
You can earn “Advanced Standing” and “transcripted” college credit right while you are in high school.  Check out “Youth Options”, Certified Cooperative Education and selected Youth Apprenticeship programs.

Most high schools also have articulation agreements with the technical college near you.  Ash your guidance counselor for details.

IT’S A GREAT EXPERIENCE
Grads give their technical college high marks (96%) when it comes to satisfaction with their training.  They had the opportunity to learn what was promised!  They enjoyed their technical college experiences (the classrooms and laboratories, student activities and work-based learning) and grew as individuals in the process.

Colleges offer many curriculum-related student organizations.  Some are affiliated with national organizations like the National Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization (PAS) and the American Landscape Contractors Associations (ALCA).  There also are great experiences with campus student government.
